
Patty Lincoln, surgical technology clinical coordinator at the Concorde–Aurora campus, was named a (FAST) at their annual conference in Orlando last week.
The honor recognizes individuals who have upheld the highest professional, ethical and moral standards and traditions of the profession; and are devoted to the advancement of the profession and improving the quality of surgical patient care.
“Being named a fellow is the highest achievement for a surgical technologist, and we’re proud to count Patty among our program leaders. She is highly respected in her field and among educators from other healthcare disciplines. Her dedication and passion consistently show up in our program’s strong student outcomes here at the Aurora campus,” said Thomas Wicke, Campus President of Concorde Career College–Aurora.
The (AST) selects fellows based on their active membership and CST credentials for a minimum of six years, adherence to the AST Professional Code of Ethics, good standing in the profession, participation in AST activities, and volunteerism in the community.
“I am very honored and humbled to receive this award by my peers. It means so much to be recognized for my commitment to the profession, continuing education and years of service to the organization,” said Lincoln.
A 20-year veteran of the United States Air Force, Lincoln has extensive experience as a certified surgical technologist (CST) and educator. She joined Concorde in 2019 as a clinical coordinator for the surgical technology program and has also taught every course in the program over the years.
Lincoln currently serves as Vice President of the of the Association of Surgical Technologists. She previously served on state assemblies in Idaho and Montana.
In addition to her credentials as a surgical technologist, Lincoln holds an Associate of Health Care Management from the Community College of the Air Force, and an Associate of General Studies from Pima Community College.
